Riana and Raj envisioned their destination wedding as a celebration that would fully immerse their guests in the unique charm of Italy. They sought a venue offering an exclusive view of Rome, a city synonymous with love and romance. Villa Miani, perched atop Monte Mario—the highest hill in Rome—provided breathtaking panoramic views of the city’s historic landmarks, including the Vatican, making it the perfect location. The couple’s profound connection to Italian culture and their cherished memories of Rome made the city a symbol of their enduring love and the ideal setting for their future together. The wedding was expertly planned by Svetlana Krasnova, whose attention to detail and vision helped bring the couple's dream celebration to life.
The three-day celebration began with a Welcome Party, followed by an intimate Haldi Ceremony and Mehndi/Sangeet at Villa Monte d’Oro on Day 2. The grand wedding, including the Anand Karaj ceremony, and reception took place at Villa Miani on Day 3, where the evening ended with a spectacular fireworks display over the villa—a surprise the couple planned for their guests. The fashion at each event was a blend of Indian and international couture, including designs by Sabyasachi for the wedding and Elie Saab for the reception. All outfits were thoughtfully curated by Suzaina, a renowned bridal stylist from India, ensuring each look was a perfect reflection of the couple’s exquisite taste.
